Los Angeles, 7 gennaio 2024- L’attesa è finita. Stasera si terrà l’81esima edizione dei Golden Globe al Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles, i riconoscimenti che aprono la stagione dei premi di Hollywood. Al timone di quest’edizione, il cabarettista Joy Joy. Chi vorrà seguire la premiazione, in Italia, dovrà bere un caffè di troppo: lo spettacolo sarà visibile dalle due di questa notte su CBS e in streaming su Paramount+.
I favoriti
Occhi puntati sui due successi planetari che si sono contesi il botteghino dell’estate passata, Oppenheimer di Christopher Nolan, con 8 candidature, e Barbie di Greta Gerwin, con 9 candidature. Si fa valere anche Killers of the Flower Moon di Martin Scorzese con sette candidature. Con uguali candidature, in numero di sette, “Povere creature!” di Yorgos Lanthimos, vincitore del Leone d’oro al miglior film all’ottantesima Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
Il successo dei due colossi, uno, tagliente film sul femminismo- anche se c’è chi ha da ridire-, l’altro, il racconto della controversa storia dell’inventore della bomba atomica interpretato da Cillian Murphy, hanno talmente segnato e diviso la fantasia dell’opinione pubblica che, per loro, è stato coniato un nuovo termine macedonia: Barbenheimer.
La speranza di Garrone
Grande attesa però anche per il cinema italiano che concorre con “Io Capitano” di Matteo Garrone: il regista ritorna con la pellicola uscita nelle sale lo scorso 7 settembre al tema dell’immigrazione dall’Africa, che già ne aveva segnato gli esordi. Il film ha la forza delle storie reali: il regista ha infatti tratto ispirazione dalla storia di Kouassi Pli Adama Mamadoum dalla Costa D’avorio, del minorenne Fofana Amara ed altri.
